Meet the Maker

Hi! My name is Courtney and I am the artist behind The Cutting Cottage LLC. I love creating new things, cooking, baking, and drinking my weight in coffee. I have created for many years, but in 2019, I took a leap and started making jewelry. I started out making a few pieces for myself and loved ones and just like that, a small business was born.

I am Wisconsin born and raised which is where you will find me now, although I loathe the cold weather. I am a homebody and a dog mom to the sweetest little Chihuahua. When I am not creating, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, checking out live music, and frequenting local coffee shops.

The Cutting Cottage LLC was born from a desire to have beautiful lightweight jewelry that emphasized quality, affordability, and comfort. Since then I have expanded my work with different mediums with a primary focus on modern macrame. Every piece that your purchase from me is handmade in my home studio.
